EXPERTS IN TRANSPORT LOGISTICS
David Bratt & Sons (Haulage) Ltd, has over 60 years' experience in providing professional haulage services throughout the UK. We operate a modern fleet of vehicles ranging from pickups to 44 tonnes capacity. Our fleet includes a wide range of rigid and articulated vehicles. We operate flat bed, curtain side, sliding canopy coil carriers plus crane and forklift equipped vehicles. High headboards and side posts are fitted to comply with the latest VOSA load restraint guidelines. 15.6m long trailers (30 pallet spaces) have been added to the fleet to reduce our carbon footprint.
Our Stockport depot is located between junctions 1 and 2 of the M60. This is an ideal base for the transhipping of loads from trunking vehicles onto urban trailers and rigids, for restricted access deliveries into Manchester, Stockport and surrounding areas.

EFFICIENT AND CONVENIENT LOGISTIC SERVICES
Our vehicles are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for one-off deliveries, short or long term hire, and can be supplied in our customer's own livery. Enquiries are efficiently dealt with by friendly staff, with hands-on experience in the movement of most types of goods. We have experienced drivers trained in the handling of goods ranging from palletised food products to high-value electronic equipment. All of our staff receive regular training to raise health and safety awareness, including load restraint and vehicle checks.
SPECIALIST HAULAGE FOR CONSTRUCTION AND QUARRYING
In David Bratt & Sons (Haulage) Ltd, we deliver site-focused haulage for civil engineering, quarry and building projects with a documented plan for every job. Each contract begins with a site survey, risk assessment and vehicle allocation so deliveries meet programme dates and minimise disruption. For heavy plant, oversized loads and bulk aggregates, we provide HIAB offload, escorted movements and trained banksmen. Urban and restricted access work around Manchester uses timed slots, permit checks and route surveys to avoid delays and reduce on-site handling.

ACCREDITATIONS AND COMPLIANCE EXPLAINED
Our FORS Silver status means higher standards for vehicle safety, maintenance and driver training. For procurement teams, this reduces tender risk, supports contractor audit checklists and can improve insurance terms. Drivers hold Driver CPC and site induction records, which are retained for every operative. We follow VOSA load restraint guidance and CLOCS principles so major contractors can verify compliance quickly when comparing haulage companies.
FLEET AND EQUIPMENT DETAILS
Our fleet mix is chosen for flexibility and efficiency across construction sites. Vehicles include HIAB-equipped rigid and artic units, curtain-siders, flatbeds and 15.6 metre trailers for higher payloads. Each vehicle comes with a one-line spec sheet showing dimensions, lifting capacity and typical payload to help procurement teams compare options quickly.

SAFETY AND TRAINING
Safety is embedded in every operation through documented procedures and regular training. Drivers hold Driver CPC and site induction records, which are logged for audit. We run toolbox talks, banksman training and refresher courses so operatives meet contractor site rules and reduce the risk of delays or damage.
SUSTAINABILITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
We measure and reduce transport emissions with telematics, route optimisation and payload planning. Telematics typically cuts empty miles by 15 to 25 per cent, and our longer trailers increase payload per trip, reducing total journeys. We offer consolidated deliveries and off-peak windows to lower idling in urban centres. On request, we provide a simple carbon report for inclusion in project environmental statements so contractors can account for transport emissions in tender submissions.

WHAT WE PROVIDE FOR TENDERS AND PROCUREMENT
We supply a downloadable fleet spec sheet, compliance pack and a short method statement tailored to your site. These documents include vehicle dimensions, lifting capacities, insurance limits and copies of certificates so procurement teams can add them to tender packs without delay. Requesting the pack is a single step, and we will return documents within one working day.
