A modern fleet of lorry mounted cranes
Our fleet of lorry mounted cranes are available with capacities up to 80-tonne metres. These vehicles provide the flexibility of being able to self-load and unload, saving time and the cost of fork lifts or mobile cranes and the potential for injury associated with manual handling. These vehicles are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for one-off deliveries, short or long term hire, and can be supplied in the customer's own livery. Enquiries are efficiently dealt with by experienced staff that have had hands on experience and are trained to AP standard.
Qualified and well-trained drivers
Our driver operators are trained in the handling of goods ranging from building materials, cabins and containers to high value electrical switchgear. We have an ALLMI and RTITB accredited training manager who can provide customer-specific handling training and guidance to our drivers. All of our Driver Operators and Slinger Banksman are trained to ALLMI, CPCS, CSCS and RTITB standards. The Health and Safety of customers, staff and all others we encounter is our prime concern.
To ensure safe working practices and compliance, our training programme includes classroom-based General Health and Safety awareness, practical assessment and testing and ongoing monitoring. All of our cranes are certificated and tested every 12 months. All lifting chains and accessories are visually checked before each use and certified every 6 months.
We are a FORS silver accredited operator. The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a voluntary accreditation scheme encompassing all aspects of safety, fuel efficiency, vehicle emissions and improved operations. FORS helps fleet operators to measure and monitor performance and alter their operations in order to demonstrate best practice.
What information do we require?
Our customers range from people who are involved in hiring cranes on a daily basis and have vast knowledge to people who have little or no understanding of cranes. Our experienced staff are available for advice and can make site visits if required. When you contact us you will be asked the following questions to gain a better understanding of your requirements:
- Type of goods to be lifted.
- Dimensions of goods.
- Maximum weight of individual lifts.
- The radius at which the goods are to be lifted.
- Any known hazards in the area such as overhead lines.
From this information, we will calculate the correct vehicle for your requirements.
